5th Circuit Court of Appeals Awards Benzene Plaintiffs Extension to File Appellate Brief

NEW ORLEANS –– The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit has awarded an extension to plaintiffs appealing a decision throwing out their benzene claims, giving the plaintiffs until late October to file their appellate brief.

On Aug. 17, the 5th Circuit said in the briefing notice that the brief was due by Sept. 28; on Sept. 15, however, the appellate court noted that it had granted an extension to plaintiff Yolande Burst, allowing her until Oct. 28 to file the document.
