Remaining Defendants in South Carolina Benzene Case Dismissed; Case Closed

COLUMBIA, S.C. –– The remaining parties in a South Carolina benzene action have been voluntarily dismissed by the plaintiffs, according to a recent judgment entered by the court, which closed the case.

In the Aug. 20 judgment, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina noted that the plaintiffs had agreed to take nothing from remaining defendants Wurth/Service Supply Inc., Wurth Action Bolt & Tool Co., and Wurth USA Inc.

The court noted that the dismissal arose from a consent motion to dismiss the certain Wurth defendants.
