Calif. Court Overrules Defense Objections to Prior Order in Acylamide Trial; Outlines Plan for Phase 2




LOS ANGELES –– A California trial court judge has entered his proposed statement of decision in a bifurcated trial involving claims that the defendants violated the state’s Proposition 65 requirements to warn consumers that their coffee contains acrylamide, effectively denying defense objections to the prior order.

The Sept. 1 hearing in the California Superior Court for Los Angeles County was held to address defense objections to the prior tentative statement of decision.

According to sources, the judge entered his proposed statement of decision, only changing minor language.
