Benzene Plaintiffs Reach Settlement During Trial with Remaining Defendant U.S. Steel

PHILADELPHIA –– The remaining parties in a benzene case have reached a settlement agreement resolving the claims one week into trial, sources told HarrisMartin.

U.S. Steel was the lone remaining defendant at the time of the settlement in the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County, sources said. According to an April 21 trial worksheet entered in the court, the parties reached the settlement agreement on April 20 after the jury was sworn in.
