Parties in Louisiana Benzene Suit File Status Report, Note Pending Motion to Transfer

NEW ORLEANS –– Parties involved in a benzene suit have filed a joint status report, noting that a motion made by Dow Chemical Co. to transfer venue remains pending in the case.

In the status report, jointly filed Dec. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the parties also noted that, to date, no depositions have taken place. The parties anticipate exchanging written discovery and deposing the plaintiff’s treating physician and a number of fact witnesses.
