Post-Trial Motion Filed in Benzene Case that Ended in Defense Verdict for Sunoco

PHILADELPHIA –– The Pennsylvania court that recently presided over a trial that ended in a defense verdict for benzene defendant Sunoco has set a briefing schedule for the plaintiff’s post-trial motions.

According to a recent docket entry by the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County, Sunoco is required to file an opposition brief by Dec. 12. The briefing schedule was issued as to the plaintiffs’ post-trial motion only, the court clarified.

The Pennsylvania trial court reached the unanimous defense verdict on Aug. 8 after two hours of deliberations, HarrisMartin reported.
