Louisiana Benzene Parties File Amended Complaint; Revise Recently Dismissed Fraud Claims

NEW ORLEANS –– Benzene plaintiffs in Louisiana have responded to a court’s recent request to amend their fraud claims, filing a first amended complaint Feb. 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

In a recent order dismissing the fraud claims, the District Court found they fell short of what is required and gave the plaintiffs 30 days to amend the cause of action.
