Mich. Federal Court Issues Decision on More than 30 In Limine Motions in Benzene Case

DETROIT –– A Michigan federal court has weighed in on a number of in limine motions in a benzene case, finding a number of the motions filed by both sides were overly broad and should not be granted.

According to a Jan. 13 amended scheduling order issued by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, trial is scheduled to begin May 7 in the matter.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Howard G. Hendrian, who was allegedly exposed to benzene-containing products while employed at Ford Motor Co. During the course of his employment, Hendrian cleaned …
