NEW ORLEANS –– Third-party demands asserted by Dow Chemical Co. (NYSE:DOW) against a number of other parties in a benzene suit have settled, according to a recent court document.

According to the minutes of settlement conference issued on Sept. 17 by the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, the settlement between Dow Chemical and third-party defendants Hebert Brothers Engineers, Inc., Turner Industries LLC, Jacob Field Services North America Inc., JE Remediations Technologies Inc., and J.E. Merit Constructors Inc., was reached seven months after the main demand was settled.
