Massachusetts Benzene Claims Back in 1st Circuit After District Court Throws Case Out on Specific Causation Grounds

BOSTON –– A benzene case filed in Massachusetts is once again back in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit where the plaintiffs have asked the court to review a decision that rejected the “linear no-threshold” analysis proffered in support of specific causation.

The 1st Circuit docketed the case on Sept. 17, according to a case opening notice filed with the court.
