La. Court Grants Motion to Open Benzene Case in Which Settoon Towing Seeks Reimbursement from Co-Defendant

NEW ORLEANS –– A Louisiana federal court has granted a motion to re-open a recently dismissed case after a benzene defendant argued that it intends to file cross-claims against a co-defendant in the action.

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana granted the motion on Aug. 19, saying that the case was being re-opened for the purpose of allowing Settoon Towing LLC to pursue cross-claims against Cenac Towing LLC.
