Defendant in Puerto Rico Benzene Case Dismissed without Prejudice; Had Sought Dismissal on Jurisdiction Grounds

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico –– National Rental & Sales Inc. has been dismissed from a Puerto Rico benzene case without prejudice, shortly after the plaintiffs filed a stipulation agreeing to the dismissal.

The one-page dismissal order was entered Feb. 28 by the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. The defendant had moved to dismiss the action earlier last month, contending that the plaintiffs had failed to offer any allegations that the defendant is completely diverse from the plaintiff.
