Plaintiffs Seek Sanctions, Say Defendant 'Deliberately' Delayed Document Production

NEW ORLEANS -- Plaintiffs in a benzene case scheduled for a March trial have filed a motion for sanctions, contending that the lone remaining defendant in the action has "deliberately delayed" document production, resulting in "severe prejudice to Plaintiff's ability to present their case at trial." Morin, et al. v. Chevron U.S.A. Inc., et al., No. 11-0045 (E.D. La.).

In a brief filed Jan. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the plaintiffs argue that Chevron has failed to produce documents and identify corporate representatives in a timely manner.
