Judge Denies Post-Trial Motions, Awards Pre-Judgment Interest to Plaintiffs

LAS VEGAS -- A Nevada state court has denied several post-trial motions filed by a defendant contesting a $7.5 million verdict entered in a case involving exposure to benzene in gasoline. Lewis, et al. v. Rebel Oil Co., et al., No. A566869 (Nev. Dist. Ct., Clark Cty.).

In addition to issuing three separate orders denying the motions, Judge Nancy Allf of the Nevada District Court for Clark County also entered a judgment against the defendant in which she awarded pre-judgment interest to the plaintiffs in the amount of $569,572, sources said.
