Shell Defendants Ask Court to Reconsider Ruling Allowing Claims Against Executive Officers

NEW ORLEANS -- Shell defendants involved in a benzene case have asked a federal court to reconsider its recent ruling that dismissed some claims, but allowed ones pending against the defendants' executive officers to proceed. Frank v. Shell Oil Co., No. 11-871 (E.D. La.).

On Nov. 28, Shell Oil Co. and Shell Chemical LP filed a motion for a new trial or reconsideration, contesting the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana's decision to allow claims against the executive officers of the companies to continue.
