NEW ORLEANS -- Plaintiffs in a benzene case have opposed a proposed scheduling order submitted by defendant U.S. Steel Corp., contending that the proposal is an "inefficient discovery schedule." Moore, et al., v. ExxonMobil Corp., et al., No. 11-00747 (E.D. La.).
On Sept. 29, defendant U.S. Steel Corp. moved for the entry of a scheduling order with the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, saying that after a recent status conference, it attempted to reach an agreement with the plaintiffs regarding the scheduling order, but has so far been "unable to do so."
