NEW ORLEANS -- Benzene plaintiffs in Louisiana have objected to a defense motion to quash discovery requests, saying that the defendants' responses thus far have been "evasive" and "insufficient." Morin v. Chevron U.S.A. Inc, et al., No. 11-00045 (E.D. La.).

On Oct. 14, Chevron U.S.A. Inc. filed a motion in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana to quash subpoenas issued by the plaintiffs, contending that while it has no objections to the portions of the subpoena which pertain to the alleged exposure, it does take issue with the subjects that "far exceed possible relevancy in this …
