ExxonMobil Removes Chemical Exposure Complaint, Cites Fraudulent Joinder

BATON ROUGE, La. -- A defendant named in a chemical exposure case has remove the claims, contending in part that the plaintiff has wrongfully asserted claims against those who had administrative responsibilities at the plaintiff's workplace. Bryant v. ExxonMobil Corp., et al., No. n/a (M.D. La.).

On Aug. 16, ExxonMobil Corp. removed the claims to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, citing the fraudulent joinder of ExxonMobil supervisors.

The underlying claims were filed by Ronnie L. Bryan for his alleged exposure to chemicals while he worked at an Baton Rouge, La.-based ExxonMobil facility.
