LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- A Kentucky federal court has certified a dismissal order as final and appealable, ruling that an immediate appeal of the statute of limitations-related dismissal was in the best interest of judicial economy. Jeffries, et al. v. Thermo Fisher Scientific, No. 07-192 (W.D. Ky.).

In the Feb. 5 order, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky said that while there is a chance review would be mooted by future developments, "chances are much greater that any determination here of the claims against the remaining defendants will still leave the statute of limitations issue in need …
