Judge Precludes Expert Testimony; Orders Preliminary Hearing on Others

LOS ANGELES -- A Los Angeles judge has ruled on several in limine motions filed by parties involved in an upcoming benzene trial, excluding some testimony in full and ordering further preliminary hearings on other testimony. Thorpe, et al. v. Safety-Kleen, No. BC348287 (Calif. Super. Ct., Los Angeles Cty.).
Sources told HarrisMartin that Judge Emilie H. Elias of the California Superior Court conducted hearings on April 13-14, during which he addressed the in limine motions relating to expert witnesses filed by the parties in anticipation of trial.
