SEATTLE -- An appellate court has reversed an order that prohibited asbestos plaintiffs from presenting a theory of liability at trial, noting that since the defense verdict occurred, the court has opined that a manufacturer can in fact be held liable for certain parts affixed to their product. Anderson, et al. v. Asbestos Corp., LTD, et al., No. 60271-3-I (Wash. Ct. App.).
In the Aug. 11 opinion, the Washington Court of Appeals did, however, affirm the trial court's decision to dismiss two defendants prior to trial, opining that the plaintiffs had failed to provide sufficient evidence linking the defendants' actions …
