Jury Find for Defendants in 3 Cases at End of Consolidated Trial

EASTON, Pa. -- A Pennsylvania jury has found for defendants Rockbestos, Fairmont Supply Co., Garlock Sealing Technologies and Lincoln Electric at the end of the consolidated trial of three mesothelioma cases. Messinger (No. c48ab-2007-0065 and 0070); Dougherty (No. c48ab-2007-0027); Nemes (No. c48ab-2007-0007) (Pa. Ct. Comm. Pls., Northampton Cty.).

After less than one day of deliberations, the Court of Common Pleas for Northampton County jury reached the verdict on Aug. 26, rejecting claims by three plaintiffs that the defendants' products caused them to develop mesothelioma.

Judge Stephen G. Baratta presided over the trial, which began on August 11.
