Judge's Order Prohibits Clerk from Processing Big Three Removal Papers

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The judge who remanded more than 100 asbestos cases removed to federal court by the Big Three auto manufacturers has issued a directive to his staff that they are not to process any further requests to remove cases by counsel associated with the remanded actions. In Re Asbestos Litigation, No. 2:01-1055, et al. (S.D. W.Va.).
Judge Charles H. Haden III issued his follow-up order Dec. 20, just two weeks after sending the cases back to Kanawha County Circuit Court.
