PHILADELPHIA -- Judge Allan L. Tereshko of the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas for Philadelphia County recently presided over an admissibility hearing to address challenges by friction product defendants on opinions proffered by plaintiff experts, sources told HarrisMartin. In re: Asbestos Litigation, October Term 1986, No. 0001 (Pa. Ct. Comm. Pls., Philadelphia Cty.).

The five-day hearing was held Feb. 11-15 and addressed Frye challenges to several plaintiff experts. While the parties used specifics from four sample cases to support their respective arguments, it is still unclear whether Judge Tereshko will issue a global order or enter a decision on a …
