AUSTIN, Texas -- On Feb. 7, the Texas Supreme Court will hear oral arguments pertaining to whether legislation capping successor liability is violating an asbestos plaintiffs' constitutional rights by applying retroactively. Robinson v. Crown, Cork & Seal, No. 06-0714 (Texas Sup. Ct.).

On Jan. 11, the high court filed a notice granting the petition for review and scheduling the oral arguments to determine whether a statute limiting successor liability can be applied retroactively.
