Federal Judge Orders Provisional Transfer of Friction Cases to Federal-Mogul Docket

WILMINGTON, Del. - A federal judge overseeing the Federal-Mogul bankruptcy has granted the provisional transfer of asbestos lawsuits removed recently by the Big Three auto makers. In Re: Federal-Mogul Global, Inc., Nos. 01-10578, et al. (D. Del.)
Judge Alfred M. Wolin, who has been assigned to oversee the Federal-Mogul bankruptcy and the Chapter 11 proceedings of four other bankrupt asbestos defendants, granted the auto maker's provisional transfer motion by order entered Dec. 10 in U.S. District Court in Delaware.
