Defense Verdict in Second Northampton County Asbestos Case

EASTON, Pa. - For the second time in six months, a Northampton County jury has refused to award damages to a plaintiff who claimed to have developed mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos. Weiner v. Dresser Industries, Inc., et al., No. C0048AB000000017 (Pa. Comm. Pls., Northampton Cty.).
On Dec. 6, a jury in the County Court of Common Pleas found in favor of defendant Dresser Industries after Gerald Weiner accused the company of causing his wife's asbestos-related illness and eventual death.
