HOUSTON -- Texas Asbestos MDL defendants continue to support their challenge to an admissibility order, saying that the lack of available scientific evidence does not exempt the plaintiffs from Havner admissibility standards. In re: Garlock Sealing Technologies and Georgia-Pacific Corp. No. 14-06-00467-CV (Texas Ct. App., 14th Dist.).
In the Aug. 21 reply brief filed in the Fourteenth District Court of Appeals, Garlock Sealing Technologies and Georgia-Pacific Corp. also attack what they view as the plaintiffs' attempts to substitute public health agency statements for epidemiological requirements.
