LOS ANGELES - Several groups have filed an amici curiae brief in response to an appeal of a California trial court order finding that premises owners are not liable for harm to family members of independent contractors resulting from off-site, secondhand exposure to asbestos. Honer v. Ford Motor Co., et al., No. B189160 (Calif. Ct. App., 2nd Dist., Div. 7).
