Oral Arguments Set in Unimpaired Docket Dispute

AUSTIN, Texas -- The Texas Supreme Court has set oral arguments for Nov. 16 in a dispute over whether an unimpaired docket should be established in the state. In re: Union Carbide Corp, et al., No. 04-1120; In re: ExxonMobil Corp., et al., No. 04-1121 (Texas Sup. Ct.).

The state's high court will allow 20 minutes for each side to present oral arguments, sources said.

In March, the high court granted a motion to consolidate two mandamus petitions that were filed relating to the dispute over the establishment of an unimpaired docket.
