Court Reverses Admittance of Expert Testimony in Asbestos Case




MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- An Alabama appeals court has reversed a decision in a wrongful death asbestos claim, after finding that testimony offered by the plaintiff's experts did not meet general admissibility standards. Kimberly-Clark Corp. v. Sawyer, No. 2030460 (Ala. Ct. App.).

In a Nov. 18 opinion, the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals also determined additional expert testimony offered by the plaintiff was inadmissible because it relied in part on the first inadmissible testimony.
