LAKE CHARLES, La. -- A Louisiana Court of Appeal has reversed the dismissal of an asbestos action, after finding that the plaintiffs' alleged exposure to asbestos occurred prior to enactment of a statute broadening the workers' compensation statute to include such claims. Alexander, et al. v. Thiokol Corp., et al., No. 04-625 (La. Ct. App., 3rd Cir.).

In its Nov. 10 opinion, the Louisiana 3rd Circuit Court of Appeal determined that a trial court erred when granting the defendants' motion for a peremptory exception of no cause of action.
