Court Rejects Appeal of Order Dismissing Insurance Broker

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas -- A Texas appellate court has found that it does not have jurisdiction over the appeal of an order dismissing an insurance broker from an asbestos lawsuit because the order severing the claims was not a final judgment. Aleman, et al. v. Marsh USA, Inc., et al., No. 13-04-084-CV (Texas 13th Dist. Ct. App.).

The Texas 13th District Court of Appeals released the opinion on Jan. 26.
