SAN FRANCISCO -- A California Appellate Court has affirmed a mesothelioma plaintiff verdict, as well as a trial court award of expert costs and prejudgment interest. Hoeffer v. Rockwell Automation, et al., Nos. A107353, A107964 (Calif. Ct. App., 1st Dist., Div. 2).
The First District of the California Court of Appeals issued the decision on Jan. 26.
Plaintiff Philip Hoeffer filed his lawsuit against Rockwell Automation as a successor-in-interest to Allen-Bradley Co. and Rostone Corp., who Hoeffer alleged manufactured asbestos-containing products to which he was exposed.
