Mesothelioma Plaintiff Settles with Defendants for $2.3 Million




AUSTIN, Texas -- Claims brought on behalf of an executive who worked at a manufacturing company and died at the age of 59 from mesothelioma were settled for an estimated $2.3 million, sources told HarrisMartin. McDowell v. A.W. Chesterton, No. GN-202176 (Texas 126th Jud. Dist. Ct., Travis Cty.).

Plaintiff Linda Ann McDowell brought the claims on behalf of George C. McDowell, who she claims was exposed to asbestos-containing joint compound products while doing home renovations and as a bystander while working as an executive in steel mills. George McDowell developed mesothelioma and died at the age of 59.
