N.Y. Court Awards Summary Judgment to East Manufacturing Corp. in Asbestos Case

NEW YORK –– A New York court has awarded summary judgment to East Manufacturing Corp. in an asbestos case, concluding that the plaintiffs had failed to demonstrate that the defendant’s trailers could not be operate safely without asbestos-containing brakes.

In the Dec. 16 order, the New York Supreme Court for New York County dismissed the case in its entirety as to the company.
