Calif. Court Grants Colgate-Palmolive’s Motion for Nonsuit in Cashmere Bouquet Asbestos Talc Trial

LOS ANGELES –– A California state court has granted Colgate-Palmolive’s motion for nonsuit just before closing arguments in a four-week trial were slated to begin, ending the plaintiff’s case in which she alleged she developed mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos in the company’s Cashmere Bouquet talcum powder product.

Judge Armen Tamzarian of the California Superior Court for Los Angeles County heard arguments from both parties regarding the motion for non-suit on Feb. 5.
