Arizona Jury Reaches Defense Verdict for CertainTeed Corp. at Conclusion of Asbestos Trial




PHOENIX –– An Arizona jury has rejected the asbestos personal injury claims of a former pipefitter at the end of 12-day trial, finding in favor of one remaining defendant CertainTeed Corp.

The Arizona Superior Court for Maricopa County jury reached the verdict on Feb. 1, according to published reports.

The plaintiffs asserted the claims of behalf of Francisco Herrera, contending that the decedent developed mesothelioma as a result of exposure to asbestos-containing products he encountered while working as a pipefitter.
