Calif. Supreme Court Hears Arguments Relating to Take-Home Asbestos Exposure Cases

SAN FRANCISCO –– The California Supreme Court has heard oral arguments in a dispute involving competing intermediate appellate court decisions in take-home asbestos cases, according to the court’s online docket.

The high court heard arguments on Sept. 7, addressing claims asserted on behalf of the nephew of a Pneumo Abex employee and the wife of a former BNSF Railway Co. employee.

While the First District Court of Appeal issued a decision favoring the plaintiffs in the case against Pneumo Abex, the Second District Court of Appeal found for BNSF Railway in the second case.
