Navy Machinist Awarded $3 Million for Asbestos-Related Illness

SAN FRANCISCO - A jury in San Francisco has awarded more than $3 million to a former U.S. Navy machinist who contracted mesothelioma, allegedly after exposure to asbestos-containing materials manufactured by John Crane, Inc. Taylor v. John Crane, Inc., No. 320278 (Calif. Super. Ct., San Francisco Cty.)
The Dec. 14 verdict in San Francisco Superior Court came down after jurors deliberated for four days over whether John Crane's materials were to blame for David Taylor's alleged asbestos-related injuries.
