Jury Finds for Union Carbide Following Georgia Asbestos Trial

ATLANTA - A state court jury in Georgia has found for Union Carbide in a case involving a former boiler worker and machinist who claimed he developed mesothelioma after exposure to products containing Carbide's Calidria product. Flowers v. ACandS, Inc., et al., No. 00VS014834 (Ga. Super. Ct., Fulton Cty.).
The jury entered its verdict Dec. 9 in Fulton County Superior Court, ending three days of deliberation and claims that Carbide was responsible for the death of Charles Flowers, a former factor workers at DuPont Co.
