3rd Circuit Issues Briefing Schedule in Asbestos Dispute Concerning Government Contractor Defense

PHILADELPHIA –– The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit has issued a briefing schedule in the appeal of a court order that awarded summary judgment to Boeing Co., General Electric Co. and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. on grounds that Boeing was immune to the claims under the government contractor defense.

According to the recent briefing schedule, the plaintiffs were to file their submission on or before Dec. 15. The defendants’ brief was due 30 days within the filing of the plaintiff’s brief, the order explained.
