Senate Receives National Asbestos Bankruptcy Trust Legislation; Referred to Committee on the Judiciary




WASHINGTON, D.C. –– One day after the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Furthering Asbestos Claim Transparency (FACT) Act of 2013, the Senate received the legislation and referred it to the Committee on the Judiciary.

The legislation was read twice in the U.S. Senate before being referred to the Committee, according to online records tracking the legislation. As of this writing, the Senate Committee on the Judiciary has not added the legislation to the agenda for any of its current or future executive business meetings or hearings.
