Owens-Illinois Requests Production of Manville Trust Documents for Screening Inquiry

PHILADELPHIA - Asbestos defendant Owens-Illinois has taken the unusual step of requesting production of documents relating to non-malignant claims filed with the Johns-Manville Personal Injury Trust. In Re: Asbestos Products Liability Litigation, MDL No. 875 (E.D. Pa.).

In a motion filed Sept. 19 in Asbestos MDL No. 875, Owens-Illinois said it wants all data pertaining to five specific areas of non-malignant claims filed with the Trust, which is now administered by Claims Resolution Management.
