CHICAGO –– An Illinois trial court has granted Ford Motor Co.’s (NYSE:F) motion to dismiss an asbestos action on forum grounds just one day before trial was set to begin, sources told HarrisMartin Publishing.
In the Feb. 11 one-page order, Judge Thomas L. Hogan of the Illinois Circuit Court for Cook County stated that Ford Motor Co.’s motion to dismiss on forum non conveniens grounds was granted “for the reasons stated in open court and on the record.”
