N.Y. Judge Dismisses Goodyear Canada from Cases that Ended in $22 Million Verdict

NEW YORK -- A New York judge has granted, in part, post-trial motions challenging a $22 million award in an asbestos lung cancer case, dismissing one of two defendants after concluding that there was insufficient evidence to support the verdict. Koczur, et al. v. ACandS Inc., et al., No. 122340/99; McCarthy, et al., v. ACandS Inc., et al., No. 100490/99 (N.Y. Sup. Ct., New York Cty.).
