Ill. Court Dismisses Asbestos-Containing Dental Tape Case After Jury Deadlocks

CHICAGO -- An Illinois court has dismissed with prejudice a case involving alleged exposure to asbestos-containing dental tape after a jury deadlocked and a mistrial was declared, sources told HarrisMartin. Boeve, et al., v. Whip Mix Corp., et al., No. 10 L 008128 (Ill. Cir. Ct., Cook Cty.).

According to a one-page Nov. 4 order, Judge Patrick Foran Lustig of the Illinois Circuit Court for Cook County dismissed the case with prejudice and sources said that the plaintiffs did not seek reinstatement.
