Minn. Trial Judge Says Defendants Can't be Held Liable for Replacement Parts

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- A Minnesota trial court judge has awarded summary judgment to two asbestos defendants, finding that the plaintiff could not prove that the decedent was exposed to asbestos-containing products supplied by either of the defendants. Nelson, et al. v. 3M Co., et al., No. 62-CV-08-6245 (Minn. 2nd Jud. Dist. Ct., Ramsey Cty.).

In the separate orders, Judge Dale B. Lindman of the Minnesota 2nd Judicial District Court for Ramsey County said that neither defendant could be held liable for asbestos-containing products that were incorporated into their pumps after the date of the sale.
