RALEIGH, N.C. -- A North Carolina appellate court has found in favor of an asbestos claimant, determining that a trial court did not err when it eliminated liens on settlement funds. Kingston v. Lyon Construction Inc., et al., No. COA10-193 (N.C. Ct. App.).
In the Nov. 2 opinion, the North Carolina Court of Appeals said that the trial court was correct when it found that the plaintiff's former employer's liens on settlement funds should be reduced to zero.
