Several Amici Groups File Briefs in California Component Parts Dispute

SAN FRANCISCO -- Several groups have filed amici briefs in a component parts dispute pending in California's highest court, with support for both the defendants and plaintiffs now on record. O'Neil, et al., v. Crane Co., et al., No. S177401 (Calif. Sup. Ct.).

A brief expressing support for the plaintiffs contends that a jury should be permitted to determine whether equipment manufacturers were at fault in causing injury, while other briefs filed in the California Supreme Court maintain that defendants should not be held responsible for replacement parts they did not manufacture.
